i feel that gen z people are divided into two different groups. absolute doomers who complain every day and the people who are like this guy in video.
i still think that it's just much better attitude to have overtly competitive mindset even when it's not even realistic to get what you want. but still, it's better than complaining because at least it gives meaning to your life. like if i want to be the most referred academic in world then sure, it's not realistic but the drive that the unrealistic goal brings to your life, is better than complaining and doing nothing.
i would call it "productive false hope", like who cares if the ultimate dream doesn't come true, you have still done a lot of productive things so you've still grown. you have done much more personal growth than the people who complain 24/7.
i also think that every single person should always think with individual chances. i think that people who have much more potential than the average person, really underestimates themselves because they don't bother to even try because they think that statistics are the absolute truth.
