sapiosexual is an useless word
i've always thought it's some kind of social marker of trashiness when someone says "i am sapiosexual" because okay, what people should even get out of it?
sapiosexual basically means that person wants partner who is smart. wow so, you invented a word that describes... nothing. you're basically a normal person. who is a person who wants extremely stupid partner? you created buzzword for normalcy. it's almost the same thing as saying "yeah i sexually identify as a person who wants a partner who doesn't practice domestic violence".
then i realize that if someone is still cluching their pearls over stating something that is obvious and still making identity project with themselves over this useless word, they are extremely trashy.
people from lower social classes have the problem that they have extremely stupid partners, but at the same time if person has to claim to be "sapiosexual" in the hopes of getting much smarter people as their partners, they never will. why? because you're not smart. the reason why smart people won't date you is because of the fact that you're not educated. almost everyone who uses this word never went to good research university.
the irony behind this word is the fact that the whole culture and world is "sapiosexual" and built around "sapiosexuality". the reason why capitalism has it's own "brutal" mechanisms that shows in the culture which can be looked through sociological lenses, is due to the fact that being in some social class requires certain level of intelligence. classism is basically mate suppression which goal is to get smart people be with other smart people in good neighbourhoods and stupid people with stupid people in ghettos. this is because smart people can't stand stupid people for obvious reasons.
if you are such a sapiosexual, then why you are low-educated poor working class or underclass citizen who barely get by. "sapiosexuality" is a two-way street.
